Opuntea helps people coordinate real-world activities. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have over your data.

What we collect

When you use Opuntea, we may collect your phone number, profile information, session and RSVP activity, group membership, messages needed for coordination, reliability signals, and device tokens for notifications. Access-request forms may also include your name, email, organization, and location.

How we use it

We use this information to operate coordination workflows, improve reliability, provide support, prevent abuse, and communicate about sessions and communities you join.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Your privacy rights

In the Opuntea app, open Settings to:

  • Export account data — download a JSON snapshot of your profile and coordination records.
  • Request account deletion — start automated erasure of your profile, credentials, and personal records.

You can also contact us at hello@opuntea.com for privacy questions or requests.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Temporary uploads are removed within 24 hours. When you request deletion, we scrub personal identifiers, remove your public profile, and delete your authentication account. Some coordination history may retain anonymized references so other participants' records remain intact.

Service providers

Opuntea runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, analytics, crash reporting, and push delivery). Apple and Google provide app distribution and notification delivery infrastructure.
