How Opuntea works
Opuntea help is a guide to sessions, the waitlist, Match record, and your account on iPhone.
What is a session?
A session has a time, a place, a capacity, and a roster. Hosts create sessions. Players join or request a spot.
After the session ends, completed attendance can appear in Session history.
What is Match record?
Match record is verified Session and Competition results. Each card shows where it came from, separate from DUPR and from verification status.
Why can Match record have games while Session history is empty?
A competition result can be in Match record when that playing time was not a coordinated session. Session history is completed attendance. Cancelled sessions are not included.
How do connections and following work?
Follow keeps you updated on a player or organizer.
Connection is a closer relationship for people you coordinate with regularly.
You do not need to follow everyone to join a session or take part in a community.
How do RSVP and waitlist work?
Join Session confirms a spot when the session has room and the host is not reviewing requests. Request Spot puts you on the waitlist when the session is full, or when the host reviews requests.
On a full session, you move in when a confirmed spot opens. If the host reviews requests, you stay waitlisted until they confirm a spot. When a confirmed player opens their spot, the next waitlisted player moves in either way.
What does verified mean?
Verified is the official record. A result becomes verified when both sides confirm it, or when an organizer certifies it.
A result that still needs confirmation stays pending. Pending is not verified. DUPR is shown separately from verification.
How does reliability work?
Reliability is based on confirmed attendance, cancellations, and no-shows for sessions you joined.
How do DUPR, Rated play, and matchups work?
Connect DUPR on your profile to show your rating. Rated play is a session type: play within your level. When that session is set up for official closeout, the score is recorded when the host closes the session.
A matchup is who plays whom in a session. Publishing it notifies those players. A session matchup is not a Match record result, and it is not a DUPR submission.
What about account, privacy, and notifications?
Continue with phone, or sign in with a passkey. Export or request account deletion from Settings → Privacy & safety → Data and legal.
Notifications cover session reminders and coordination updates. Push alerts are in Settings. You can also turn them off in iOS Settings.
